Researchers from the Marine Research Center at the University of Vigo (CIM) went to the streets to make marine research accessible to the entire community in an engaging and age-appropriate way. On November 11th and 17th, the center hosted its Open Day, an initiative co-financed by the Galician government and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund. The primary objectives of these initiatives were to foster a deeper appreciation of marine science and awake a passion for scientific careers among the younger generation.
The Mapas Lab team participated a fair celebrated on Friday, November 17th, at the A Laxe Shopping Center, with a workshop on the street about marine fossils.
